Most of commercials have specific target of audience. They don’t tell us straight but we can tell if it’s for men, women, children, or teenagers. Alienware commercial has no specific target of audience. Commercial shows exterior images of the computer and it ends with the whole shot of computer. I searched the Alienware product in internet and I found that Alienware is for serious gamers. Also it’s very expensive compares to other popular PC brand. Nothing in the commercial gives consumers that it’s for serious gamer or people who need powerful graphic processing computer. Yes, Alienware’s commercial is simple, clean, and somewhat entertaining, but it’s unclear whom they want to sell it. It feels like, they don’t even want to sell their product.

I'm using a jump drive from Best Buy, and I'm trying to use it on my old Windows 98 PC as well as my Windows XP PC, but my W98 doesn't even find it in "My Computer" and I think it's because I've only got USB 1 instead of 2.0 -- is there a way to verify this?

I have had this problem for months:

There is hard drive activity when nothing is running. From what I can tell, explorer.exe is issuing lots of page faults.

I have tried the following:

Running Filemon
Running Process Explorer
Turned off all startup items
Disabled NAV
Disabled communications
Disabled System Restore
Turned off indexing
Played around with different virtual memory sizes
Killed ceepwrsvc which had a lot of activity
Tried all kinds of things suggested in other tech forums

I have:
plenty of free disk space, 37GB
512MB of RAM

Thanks for any help.

I have a Dell 4100MP Projector. I recently upgraded my laptop to Office 2007. (I am still on Windows XP). Since I have done this my projector isn't working correctly. I cannot seem to operate the projector by remote. Most of the basic remote functions work (MENU, AUTO-ADJUST etc.), but the PAGE UP & PAGE DOWN buttons to advance the powerpoint presentation wil not work. I am assuming that switching to OFFICE 2007 has reconfigured something. I don't have the users manual, and I'm not even sure if it's a setting problem on the laptop, or the projector. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

I have literally thousands of my old photos and I would like to finally scan them all. Scanning on a flatbed scanner takes ages and I'm thinking of something at least partially automatic.

Recently I've came across HP OfficeJet 5610 which has something called the Automatic Document Feeder. As far as I understand it, it should be able to take a series of photographs (or any documents) and scan them in a series.

But seeing it on a picture I'm worried if it won't destroy originals. Photo paper, especially old one, is not so soft as a normal printer paper and I wonder if this ADF won't destroy the potographs while turning them to scan? ADF seems to be quite small...

Do any of you have any experience with this or similar scanner with ADF?

Or could you suggest any better (and cheap) solution of doing automatic scanning of photographs?

Thank you!
Daniel

I am trying to install a printer on Vista, I have downloaded the drivers from the printers website. I keep getting a message asking for drivers for USB 2.0 MFP (hi speed) not the printer which I assume is a motherboard issue, I also do not have a 'virtual usb port for printer' in the device manager or port list. Can anyone help with drivers for the usb 2.0 and how I install the virtual usb printer port.
