I just bought a new HP Pavilion dv9000 and I am interested in getting the Logitech Z-10 speakers. What ports are necassary for it to work. Is it just a USB port or does it also need one of those green ports becuase i don't think my laptop has that. Please help!

you need only usb ports.

I have researched this and confirmed this with a client.
Your laptop (notebook) HP Pavillion has 2.0 USB connection that is required to plug in the speakers.
The speakers are USB connection.
