i can work my computer but i dont understand ram and gb?? i am thinking of getting a laptop. my current pc says i have 192mb ram and 70 gb hard drive with 82% free space i have had my pc for bout 3/4years now the laptop i am looking at has 60gb hard drive and 512mb ram??? i am frquent user of the internet,dont play many games and download music and upload my photos....will the laptop be sufficent?? please help!!!

What is the cutoff point in video card selection, wherein there would be no performance difference between on (recent) motherboard built in VGA and the video card in question.

Graphics and Cad are the prerequite factors.

How could the difference between video cards be determined without purchasing and actually testing them.

i just bought a acer lap top with windows vista, i have no problem connecting or with speed but it will just kick me off and then i have to reconnect. this happens about every 10-15 min. is this a router problem or a setting deal?

I have built a custom computer about 2 months ago and when i added an internal dvd burner, no drive shows up in my computer or in device manager. When i boot to bios it says i have the dvd burner as slave and theres no primary, i need help!
~amd 4200 x2 duel core,
~2 250gb sata harddrives,
~2gb memory.

First, thanks for taking the time to read and reply to this post. OK here goes... I have available to me a Xion 600 watt power supply PCIe ready, 4 gigs of ram all ddr 3200 ultra brand(2x1 gig strips +4x512mb strips) an Intel proc. P4 520 2.8ghz,1mb L2cache,800mhz fsb socket 775. 2 Raptor 74g Hdd, and a Leadtek 6800gt tdh 256mb ddr3. I really need help choosing the right Mobo for all this that will allow my son to go to SLI later on...the os will be Windows XP pro....with the possibility of going Vista later...Do I Lose the ram an upgrade it also?

I'm sure this is a mouse issue but I have stopped using my wireless mouse and have gone back to my old faithful, but I still use my wireless keyboard? I'm not sure why my screen keeps scolling up and down, I don't think if I go back to my plugged keyboard the issue would be resolved? I've cleaned out my plugged mouse and have changed my mouse settings to disable the scroll wheel in the middle of my mouse?

Any ideas anyone? this issue is really annoying?
Any advice would be appreciated.

When I started up my Windows XP Media Center computer this morning, I got a message right after i turned it on, that stated all the devices on the computer but at the end "Hard disk failure is imminent. Please back up your hard disk and have it replaced!" and then it made this weird noise until after i logged on. After that, it works fine. I defragmented the computer and i moved it back two restore points, but the message still comes up. What does this mean and what should I do? Help Please.

Say a game needs a Pentium 4 Processor 3.0Ghz, would a duo core processor at 2.4Ghz qualify since it's 2 processors? Like, does the 2.4 on a Duo mean 4.8 or is it something different all together?

I'm only interested in the new intel duo cores really. Plus, could anybody list a good or the best motherboard to go along with that? (something in a decent price range, but will let me play newer games on recommended settings. e.g. Rainbow Six Vegas)

I just bought toshiba laptop with windows vista.I have tried to connect my microsoft wired keyboard 500,but it didn`t work.If I go to control panel-hardware-keyboard it shows that the keyboard was intalled and it is working properly.Also the light on the keyboard is on.Do you know what could be the problem?

I reinstalled XP Pro and left the flash drive in the USB. It has wiped the software installed. I can't use it now. Can i dload and reinstall the software?
I need to install FAT system on it I think.
Or should I take it back to PC World?
