is it possible to attach a laptop hardrive to a pc? n if yes where and how please. thanks

YES. It's possible, very cheap, easy, and a very good idea.
Just need a little adapter like this (£3 with p&p)

very usefull to defrag/scan/transfer laptops hardisk for hours without using the laptop resources and prolong its life.

I ran into a similar problem a few months ago and determined it was easier and cheaper just to buy a new notebook hard drive. The cost of 2.5HDs are significantly lower nowadays and you can always use a USB device for additional storage.

If your notebook can boot from a USB device then your problem is solved. Go to BIOS (F1 or DEL or some other button - will tell you at startup) and see if there is an option.

Use a usb to sata / ide converter cable with power adapter and connect as an external disk. Very affordable on ebay. A 2.5" to 3.5" hard drive converter also would work internally and are readily available on Ebay too.
