I reinstalled XP Pro and left the flash drive in the USB. It has wiped the software installed. I can't use it now. Can i dload and reinstall the software?
I need to install FAT system on it I think.
Or should I take it back to PC World?

I don't know how your wiped your flash drive by installing WinXP. Are you sure? The only way I could see you doing that is if you told it to format the partition... did you do that?

If so, then your data is lost but your drive is still usable. I can't conceivably see anyway of destroying your flash (hardware failure) by leaving it in during install of OS.

If you still see the drive then you can reinstall the software/data. If you don't see the drive, right click "MyComputer" on your desktop. Go to Manage, Disk Management (under storage), and see if you can see it or format it there.

Hi. You could try going into "My Computer" to see if the drive is read. If so, try a format on it. If that works, try a drag and drop.
