I have a Belkin Wireless G Router already, and related USB adapters for laptop and other PC's, but want to know, would using a USB Adapter Dongle for Bluetooth be easier or even better? Do you just need one of these "dongles" for each PC you want to communicate with? (No hub oe router needed right?)

I understand the fundamentals of Bluetooth and it's class rating for distance served (class 1 is 300 feet or so, the max limit), all I need to know is if all I need are two dongles for two PC's to share files as opposed to a router or hub AND the dongles.

Thanks for any help! :)

I Have Two Computers And A Laptop.
The New Computer (Bought Nearly 2 Years Now) Has A Router Installed; Like This One:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Access-Router-4-Port-802-11g/dp/B00008DOYO

So That I Can Get Internet Connection On My Laptop Which Was Bought 3 Months Ago, And It's Working Fine.

Now What I Want To Ask Is, I Have A Old Computer (Probably 10 Years Old With Windows XP Version 2002 Installed) And I Want To Get Internet On It, What I Want To Ask Is, How Do I Get Internet On It?
If I need To Buy A Wireless USB Adaptor, Can You Please Tell Me What's The Best One That Will Connect To Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router

I'm thinking of running a 200ft ethernet cable through my house to an upstairs room. It will go from a Linksys WRT54G to an Xbox 360. Will this slow down the connection a lot because of the length? And DO NOT tell me to go wireless or anything else.

I was able to connect 3 weeks ago. I have since brought a new router (Buffalo) which is supposedly compatible with Vista and yet has problems installing the drivers. I have a usb adapter again supposedly compatible with Vista, yet fails to install properly "Windows encountered a problem... and then Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. The device I am using is Buffalo WLI-U2-KG54L. Can anyone give me any ideas?

Hope so Thanks

I have a coffee shop in Missouri and need a little help. In order to stay in competion with my competitors I want to install about 5 computers. My shop is about 450 square feet. Here are the questions I have;

1) Do I want a terminal-to host, file server, or client/server system?
2) Which protocol and network switching device(s) would I use on the LAN and for wireless access?
3) With cabling, what kind of media would I need?
4) What telecommunication devices should I purchase?
5) What type of internet service would best suit my customers?

If someone could shed some light on this it would be great!!

Thanks so much

I run a server on the same machine I play on (6600 Core 2 Duo with Comcast Cable Internet), every so often people will be randomly kicked/disconnected from my server! >:(

Is Comcast regulating the uploads and downloads with my computer and game server like they do with BitTorrent? Normally the server runs great, everyone has between 66-167 ping which is fine for Halo PC.
