Is there a device that allows me to connect a wireless device to an RJ45 socket in the wall...?

Well any "Access Point" will connect to the RJ45 and then your wireless can connect to the AP thus your connected.
Linksys, Dlink, Buffalo, Belkin all have Access points (these are not routers just AP's) They are built to convert a wired system to wireless.

But if you want a wire from wireless direct to an RJ45 I don't know of anything.

There are unit that will allow connection of router output from cable to house wiring and extract elsewhere with Cat5. Search for home networking devices.
