Ok I bought a Airlink101 AR525W router. I have cable internet. When installed the router correctly and stuff, the router is always restarting and I don't know why. So I returned it. My old router works fine, it is a D-Link DI-624 rev C. I bought a new router so then I can have a better wireless range since my wireless range for my D-Link DI-624 isn't as far as a few years back when I bought it.
So do you guys know what happened? Is it because I have Cable internet?
I'm know planning to buy a Airlink101 AR525W(again) and a Airlink101 AWLH5026. Do you think that combo will work fine?

I have a belkin N router and Belkin N USB Adaptor. The Router is in my house on the ground floor and the laptop is in my Garden Offfice, 35metres from the router. The signal strength is very weak and seems just the same as my old G router.Belkin have been unable to tell me what configuration changes I should make to maximise the range.Has anyone similar experience? Am I unrealistic in expecting it to work over this distance?

I can pick up the signal which is very strong at my home. I can individually connect on my 3 computers but I would like to be able to network them as well (for the shared printer and folders). It seems that I can only connect to one network or the other and if I connect to the home network I don't have internet. Any ideas on how I could bridge thm together? Thanks!

Yes, I live in Hull, and don't want to get ripped off by Kingston Communications. In fact, I'm prepared to pay over the odds to avoid KC's monopoly.

I'll take it down the electricity cable, via satellite, wireless, any way other than mildly accepting Karoo, because I feel so strongly about letting market forces operate.

If you can give me a good answer to this question, you deserve a medal.

I have an XP desktop computer which is about 7 years old now. It is still in good working condition but we have decided to upgrade to a newer system for our new office. So we want to make the old computer available for my sister to use in the old office and network it to our router as the main computer on the network. But the computer has no ethernet connection.

How would I go about getting a card so that we can create a wired connection to the router? I believe I would need an internal network card. Are these easy to install and set-up? I am a hardware beginner and have never fitted anything like that before. I have had a look on eBay and you can get them on there from people who are selling used parts.
