and to change my channel... do i just simply change the channel inside the router or do i need to also change the channel on my devices somehow?

You can have interference. You put the router's IP address (something like 192.162.0.1 or whatever your manufacturer said it is) into the top line of your browser. Then follow the on-screen directions. Only the router needs to be changed. The PCs will get the channel.

channels are set mainly for interference of the signal which may result with loss of signal, speed and security. i would suggest changing it
