A NIC runs 10/100Mbps, a router at 100Mbps and a Hub at 10Mbps.

(a) Describe any incompatibilities with the three items of hardware.

(b) What device(s) would need to be changed to ensure all three network devices were compatible?

They are all compatible, but anything that is plugged into the hub will run at 10Mbps, not 100Mbps. In order to get them all to communicate at 100Mbps, get a 100Mbps switch to replace the 10Mbps hub.

They are all comparable. the NIC can run at either 10Mbps or 100Mpbs. It auto senses the right speed connection. It is not 10 upstream and 100 downstream.To get 100Mbps, you would have to change the Hub to 100Mbps model, assuming the NIC is plugged to the Hub and the Hub plugged to the Router.

Do you mean the speed ?

NIC's Downstream is 100Mbps and Upstream 10Mbps

But .. Do you mean by Router an Internet Connection ?

So you need to change the hub ( as I think )
