Yes you will need Ethernet cable to connect two router together LAN port to LAN port. Be very careful do not connect Internet port to your router. You will have lot problems with DCHP and Connectivity. First Set IP address and Default Gateway address and do not connect two routers yet. On the main Router.Connect second router to another computer Input IP address and Default Gateway and do not connect two routers yet. Make sure turn off DCHP on second routers before connecting it. Once you assign IP and Gateway address connect two routers together. This should work.
Good work

You can also plug them into each other on the LAN sides, and go into the wired router and shut OFF DHCP and just have it run as a switch. This way the second router won't need any IP information, and it won't step on DHCP from the first router. I have several set up this way at work.

yes however it needs to be on a subnet of the main router. So they both can't have a default gateway of 192.168.1.0 or whatever yours is. Best bet name everything DHCP and plug a cord from the wired router into the WAN on the wireless router.

You can, just plug the second router's WAN port into a LAN port on the first router.

Yes you can, but I think you have to "bridge" the two.
