Yep I would be pissed too if I had a sister is downloading from torrants or limewire etc. You once had 1037kb which you were sharing so lets so you were sharing 500 each you would probably be hogging more with the torrent download. So anyway now you're sharing 500 so 250 each. This would effect WOW extremely if you were downloading at the same time.

Yes it would effect him with both 1000 and 500. But 500 make it much much much slower.

Yes it will slow you down, but if you have cable TV in your house check with your cable company to see if you can get cable internet for around the same price and it will probably be 3-20times faster that DSL. I have cable internet and my connection stays around 9.4-14.2mbps dependeing on what I am downloading or uploading. My cable is also only $29.95 per month..I get about 3.5-5mbps on my workshop via wireless over 100ft away from the router....I would check into changing ISP...Thanks

using bittorrent on almost any connection is going to slow down everyones internet because if the high demand of bandwidth it uses, if the other people in you're house are just web browsing they won't see much of a difference, but for someone who is playing a online game this will slow there game down do to it needing higher bandwidth as well

easy fix let bittorrent run while everyone is asleep

Yes, download at highspeed will affect his game play as the upload speed (to transmit game data) will slow down.

I dont think that is causing his game to slow down. I dont think either you need so much speed. As for the game what does it have to do with the internet???
