Hi, I have an in-home network using a Linksys wireless router. I have one computer that is connected to the internet wirelessly using the router. All the other computers use hard wiring directly to the router. My computer that uses the wireless connection has always worked just fine, but today, I suddenly stopped being able to connect. When I try to connect to the network, I just get messages saying the connection could not be established. The network shows up on my computer and everything, and it tells me the signal strength, so I know my computer is recognizing the network. Also, sometimes the computer will connect to the network for about 10 seconds, then just drop the connection.

Does anybody have an idea why this would suddenly happen? I haven't tampered with any settings or anything, or made any new changes to my computer.

Oh, and also, I used my PSP to connect to the network wirelessly and it worked fine, so I guess that narrows it down to a computer problem.

We have four pcs, two downstairs that are wireless and two upstairs that are not. We have them all connected with a Westell 327W modem/router for our DSL Internet connection, and I wanted to know if I can use this router to share resources (like files, printer, etc.) between computers or do I need to purchase a separate router. If this is possible, how do I create this network? All computers have XP. Thanks!

First the facts:

Internet connection shared amongst 6 users.
Modem -> Router (Sitecom DC-202) -> Users
I have access physically to the router and via browser.
Router supports SNMP.

Probleme:
Bandwidth get's hogged, everyone blames someone else, no-one really knows who's the culprit.

Question:
Does anyone know of some software I can run from my computer (XP SP2) that can find what IP's on the network are using bandwidth and how much? Possibly throttle them?

Thanks,
Bobly

PS: I can't set my computer between the modem and router and pass all connections through me.

I haven't got an Ethernet card on my PC. So, I need to connect
my (DSL 2320B) adsl modem via usb. But I'm not getting any connectivity. The Link lamp stays ON steadily, but still it says error: 678.
I've got BSNL's DataOne broadband. So, I asked BSNL if they could help. But they couldn't be of much help.
I need to know how this modem could be configured to work on usb with BSNL's broadband. Could you help?

I have WEP security thru my Linksys wireless router. My laptop can connect to outside unsecured networks but I can't fully connect to my own for some reason. My WEP password is correct and I even tried to add the laptop to my home network using my USB flash via Windows Vista and I still can't connect. Please help! Thanks!

The new version of mandriva shows all my windows shares except the printer. I am new to linux, don't understand all the command line stuff, nor do I want to do away with the windows pc. I just want to be able to share the printer so I can print from the linux machine. I have the printer shared already, i didn't miss that. I know the first answer will be "move the printer" but i do not have space for that.

I just set up my Linksys wirless router thats hooked into another router (wired). I have my Xbox 360, PS3, and PC hooked into it and Im having problems with the 360 and PS3 at times. Sometimes the gaming systems wont connect and when I run the test it says the secondary DNS server is causing an error. Anyone got any input on how to remedy the DNS problem?
