I have a MacBook Pro and a PC Notebook connected to a WiFi network. The MacBook Pro drops the connection periodically as the AirPort icon shows no connection. When I click the icon it shows a list of 2-3 wireless signals, one of which is my network but it is unchecked. Selecting the network again reconnects the computer.

Previously I had an iMac which never lost connection.
The PC does not have this problem.
Does not change if the PC is powered on or off.

I tried changing the AirPort settings from "By Default join: > Automatic" to " > Preferred Networks" but that did not solve the problem.

The connection loss does not correspond to screensavers, idleness, or logging out. It can occur while actively using a browser.

my device can pick up wi-fi signals. can i access it and not make its owner pay for my access? can a single wi-fi server serve many devices at the same time?

i hv a Billion bipac 5112s Adsl+ modem router & Linksys WRT54GS wireless router, can i connect to internet streamyx using Billion through pppoe & share internet connection using Linksys wireless router? what is the config & connection like? (i know most of use configure modem as brige mode & using wireless router as dial up and sharing internet connection, but now is the other way round. its like maxis broadband user to share their internet connection) is it can be done?

My home computer used to have a LINKSYS Wireless G-Router hooked up to it so that I could have wireless internet access for my laptop. But recently the home computer crashed and I have yet to hook the router back up to our new computer and I'm not sure I remember how to do it. Can anyone tell me how to set my wireless router back up to our new home computer.

I've searched the net and I know you can set up Roadrunner to work in incredimail... But HOW? None of the articles I've read mention HOW to do this..

Then I've tried to set it up in Outlook express... it will receive e-mails just fine, but I can't SEND any... Does anyone know how I can get my Roadrunner mail to SUCCSSFULLY work in either of these applications? Thank you.....

Hi, I have a BEFW11S4 Linksys Ver.3 Router, and I am looking for 3rd party (modded) firmware for it. I had it before but I had some junk auto firmware update from Linksys and it put the linksys firmware on it. And I can't remember where I got the modded firmware in the first place...(its been over a year ago)...so if you know of any please let me know !

Recently I restored my computer and had to reinstall the drivers for my wireless card. I have everything going and the light on the hardware glows green but for some reason I can't find a connection anywhere! I know a connection exists because the computer next to me is connect to it, hence being able to type this up. I recently changed slots it was in but reinstalled them once I did, but still nothing. Anyone have any ideas how to get the card or software to pick up signals?

I have a PC LAN using a Linksys wireless router with 3 PCs and a DSL connection. I want to add a Power Mac G5. I am not an Apple guy. My research indicates that the G5 requires an Airport Extreme card. It appears easy to acquire and install. Is it? Will the OS automatically detect the install and activate the link to the router? Or, do I need to instruct the OS and how would I do that? I have logged on to the G5 and have not found anything related to hardware or OS; where do I find this info? Should I be looking for an Apple service site in my area?

I have a belkin N high speed router + I have another belkin wlan router used as an access point which i have a computer connected with a wire/cable, When i set a password WPA etc on the main N router all the WIFI laptops are asked for password which is fine, the wired computer to the N router(main) works fine, But the access point goes completely bonkers, i cant get any internet nor log on to the network. How can i make this cabled computer on the Access Point work. where does the password go, it connects wirelessly to the main N router. Please help
