dos prompt > cmd or command use shutdown command with appropriate switch - need ip address of computer or network name

so go to start > run > type cmd or command
at prompt type shutdown you'll get list of switches then
get name of the other computer or ip address and
use appropriate switch - use gui interface it's easier

Use PsShutdown, part of the PSTools suite that Microsoft recently acquired from SysInternals. It's free.

You do realize they always log any remote shutdown, including the machine the command comes from.

lawofcon... answer is correct provided the other machines are set to allow remote shutdown and equipped with cards that support the function.
