right click my computer/properties/computer name...make sure they are on the same workgroup...windows defaults to WORKGROUP if they are then you need to find the files you are wishing to share and right click/sharing and security and share the file. Now any windows OS that is installed in Fat16 or Fat32 WILL NOT be able to read files from NTFS computer. But NTFS will read all previous files systems. If you want to share the entire C: drive then just right click C: and goto sharing and security. Thanks

All os except dos can now be networked, Mac and Linux have inbuilt windows browsing. ALL these can read ANY of the file systems, in other words older MS systems CAN read ntfs, so can Mac and Linux. Any of them can see a Mac or Linux share if you set up the Samba server.

definite, it really is accessible. the ideal way is to do right here. - Get a community connected storage gadget. this can allow you to percentage storage between 2 contraptions. All you may want to do is to connect the NAS on your router. - you are able to also get a router that serves as a printer server. which includes the Apple AirPort extreme. you are able to connect your USB printer to the router and deploy the Apple Airport drivers and also you're up and operating.

yes you can, you just need to setup the ip address in both if you dont have a dhcp server, and they will be able to communicate with each other!
you will be able to share files and internet at the least!
