If you read the install guide for the router it will give you step by step instructions on how to install it.

Basically your physical connections will be:

-Phone Line to the DSL Modem
-Ethernet cable from the DSL Modem to the Routers WAN (Internet) Port
-Ethernet cable from the routers ethernet port #1 to computer #1 Ethernet port
--Ethernet cable from the routers ethernet port #2 to computer #2 Ethernet port

You will then have to log into the routers configuration settings and input your username and password for the dsl service you are using.

I don't know what yahoo internet gives you. I have a high speed cable, a modem, a router, and a wireless card. Make sure that you run the cd that came with your wireless card. After you have everything set up, push in the refresh button, on the back of your router. Good Luck..

The router will allow you to use the same internet connection between two or more computers.

Read your router's user manual.

No, you do not have a firewall. in case you have a router, now and back they block lots of the ports that a hacker might use, yet now and back no longer. there is a few debate on the usefulness of having a application firewall, yet it somewhat is ordinarily mutually with the outfitted in firewall in XP. in case you're relatively disturbing approximately it, you need to acquire a firewall software - inspite of the reality that i do no longer even comprehend what's powerful anymore.
