I am using Remote Desktop and have to get out of full-screen mode in order to use Snagit to grab part of the screen. I haven't been able to find any menu options to get back to full screen mode. I have to exit Remote Desktop and then run it again to get the display options. How do I get to display options from inside Remote Desktop?

Thanks !

Hello! I need to change my company's in-house network (running on Windows 2k (2000) ) from having a Workgroup network to a Domain network.

(1) What do I have to do to the server to change it into a Domain server (from Workgroup?)
(2) What do I have to do to the clients to change them [mostly Win Xp PRO, some '98s (sp2)] to work off the Domain?

Please be as specific as possible - I'm not so good with these "antique" technologies! :)

I go to a University and everything worked when I got back from break, but in my dorm my lan connection to the network does not work. All wireless works tho. The university uses cisco clean access agent, to make sure you have the proper stuff on ur comp when you connect. do you think it does not work because of the heightened security on vista? or that the cisco program is not yet compatible with vista? (keep in mind it comes out for retail on january 30th) or do I need to install specific protocols that do not come preinstalled? or is there someway I have to set up a lan network, that is not normal on xp?

My network setup: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b238/sr111/graphic.gif
Note that's the external ip on the wireless client. It will also have a local subnet ip like 192.168.1.* But my machine won't have a subnet ip because it's running directly from the switch.

So from that do you think I will be able to remote desktop into my machine from the internet? Do I have to make sure that no ports are being forwarded on my router? Is the switch smart enough to forward the packets to my machine?

Here's why I set it up like this: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkzaYV_ZkA.p04N0TdP1g.Tsy6IX?qid=20070111205200AAlew84

I have an older MacMini without the Airport Extreme card. I would like to make it able to connect to the internet wirelessly. I tried to get some USB WiFi receptor, but up here in Norway these devices are not Mac-compatible.

So, If I buy and plug an WIFi access point device to my Mac, will I be able to connect wirelessly to the WiFi router we have at home?

So I was getting pissed off that my router (a shitty WRT54G v5) was giving my slow response times and high pings on various sites and while gaming, especially if there was anyone browsing on the wireless.

So what I did was take a switch and place it in between the cable modem and the router and connected one cord directly to my computer and another cord connected to the router. Now I was able to get the speed I was looking for, AND accommodate the wireless user clients.

Now here's the question...will I be able to remote desktop to my machine from the internet? Will my switch be able to resolve the incoming requests?

My daughter purchased a used iBook with AirPort card. The Mac system recognizes our PC Linksys Network but asks for a password. I read that I may need to use the IP address as the password but I cannot figure out where to find it? Is there a default? Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I am lost!

"There is an Ip adress conflict with another system on the network"

I seem to get this error frequently now and my internet shows as connected, but is really not. I thought it was my router accepting too many connections, but I am really doubting it now! How do I get a different IP address? I cannot accept more than 50 connections from a P2P program and the router keeps going out.

Any solutions?

Basically, Slotted-ALOHA is meant to be an improvement upon ALOHA due to the introduction of time slots right? But if nodes are waiting for the next time slot to transmit a message, then more messages are going to be transmitted at the same time because they'll all be waiting for the the same moment in time to send, and therefore collisions would be more frequent...
Or is it a case of, different nodes have different timeslots?
Or am I totally missing the mark here?
