Take my word for this one i have seen this happen to me many times. Don't bother with the PING command or any thing else like that because it isn't something that you can fix your self because its with the ISP they are down for the moment. Wait a little bit and see what happens. So if you really want to see if it is in your computer you can do what US experienced computer techs do is a loop back PING 127.0.0.1 go into the command line interface and type this

PING 127.0.0.1 then hit (ENTER) this will check to see if your NIC is work good or not another way to check is the link status light behind the computer. Guaranteed that IT IS THE ISP. any one tells you different they are WRONG OLLA !!!

limited or no connectivity can be resolved by right clicking it, then select properties.
when the properties window pops up, look at the bottom of the screen, and uncheck the box that says "show status when limited or no connectivity"

the status will be gone but it doesn't mean you resolved the issue already. the reason behind this error is because of a microsoft update. either your OS was running from SP1 to SP2. try go to microsoft.com - they have a patch that you can download to resolve this issue. just use the word, limited or no connectivity on their search field.

this has nothing to do with your ISP - this is solely PC based.

It could be one of many different problems, but I normally right click on the icon and hit repair connection. That seems to fix the problem for me. If that doesnt work you might want to reset the computer and the modem.

Good luck

In my own experience, it might be your internet provider. Contact your provider & check if the problem is in your computer or in their connection to your computer. Check the problem first yourself by doubleclicking that icon in your taskbar & click a button there that repairs & tries to renew your ip address. I forgot what's the name of that button. Just try it yourself. Good luck!
