I have a DSL G624T wireless router, however my laptop cannot find the wireless network - i have not had any problem with it for about 3months now, bu tnow it just stopped working. If i plug in ethernet cable the internet works fine, but my laptop wont find the wireless. On the router itself, the WLAN light is lit and activated. Any suggestions. HELP!

I'm connected to internet via LAN. It consists of 50 odd PCs and the server runs on a macintosh machine.
One of the guy have recently managed to sneak into my PC and he deleted all my files.
I do know his IP address. And he is using windows XP service pack 2.

Question :-
Is there a way for me to do as he did to my PC.
Is there any software that will enable me to do so.
Or in simple way how can I attack a PC that is on my LAN...?

I bought my daughter a new computer for Christmas and hooked it up through a wireless connection to my other computer which is directly connected through a DSL modem. It seems like the speed is just not there like the one that is hooked up direct. The computer that's directly connected is upstairs and my daughter's is downstairs. How can I increase the connection speed on the wireless computer? It is also a desktop. Thanks.

This router is around $1500. It has a range of around 500 miles, which makes it great for traveling away from home or the workplace. I want to know the model, brand name, price, and actual range, if possible.

So there's a cafe across the street from me that has a free / open hotspot. I can get the signal if I hold the laptop up to the front window, but nowhere else in the house. Is there any device I can put in my window that will extend / repeat the signal to allow me to connect with my computer elsewhere inside?

Do they make routers that have usb slots?

I saw that radio shack had usb to ethernet adapters but I would need a driver to make that work wouldn't I?

Is it best to just take my computer in and have someone add a pci ethernet card? How much would that cost on average?

Advice is appreciated. Advice written so that I can understand it especially appreciated.

Thanks!

just wondering if we get any benefit from using a surge protection on our airport express wireless routers. my husband thinks it might be a good idea; I don't think that a power surge (say, from a lightning strike) can travel from the router to the computer without there actually be a physical connection.

I have my ethernet cable connected from my cable modem to the WAN outlet on the back of the d-link router. The light flickered but then went out. I do have power to the router. I also attempted to connect both computers in lines 1 and 2 from the back of the computers to the router, and these lights are not turning on either. Why is it that I cannot receive connection? My computer receives connection find on it's own when connected to the cable modem without any attempt to network.
