I know this question has probably been asked a million times, but I'm asking it again. I got my Dell laptop about three or four years ago. It's a Dell Inspiron 1100 (old, I know) with Windows XP. Currently, I get internet by plugging in my ethernet cord (I have Comcast cable internet). However, my campus is wireless and I'd like to be able to take my laptop to class with me. Do I just need to get and install a wireless card? If not, what else needs to be done so that I can have wireless internet at school? Thanks!

I just installed Windows XP, and after the HP(COmputer Company) windows with (F1 help), and (Esc Boot),and (F10 System Restore, which doesnt work, then i go to a screen that is black and there is a - Blinking, and the windows is not loading, is stuck, all i can do is CTRL- ALT - DELTE. After the Window is finished the Computer Reboted in 15 and after that i got this Problem. Please help me.

It started happening when my Norton Antivirus subscription ran out. I ran a scan of my hard drive and it said there was an error on the hard drive. What does that mean? Was it something I downloaded? Thanks for the help!!

Hi! I went to HP and I can down load drivers, is that the same as the software need to communicate computer with the HP printer? and if so...which one, the HP.com site is pretty vague.
Again, I don;t have the software and need to reinstall.
Or do I have to buy the software.
My OS is Windows XP.

I reinstalled winxp over itself to fix a registry problem and windows does not detect the previous user accounts yet they are located still in documents and settings folder. Is there a way to make windows see the old user accounts that are being ignored or will I have to manually move the files to a new created account? thanks

When I watch movies on my laptop, the volume do not go as loud. Even when I max out the volume on my laptop, the sound is still low, especially when watching certain movies where the characters whisper. Is there a way i can further increase the volume on my laptop?

Hi,I have a laptop and old computer.
I want to upgrade my laptop hard drive(HD) for now.
I want to know is my method safe/ok for upgrading my HD?

I'm currently have 20GB of HD and I want to upgrade it to 100+GB.

So I will buy an external hard drive case(by USB)
eg-

to copy my old HD to the new one.
Then I will replace the old hard drive inside my laptop for the new one.
1-So will my laptop be working again?
2-Is laptop hard drive different from normal computer?
or just the same size?
