is there another way to connect video camera if I dont have firewire? is there like a usb to firewire? or another thing I can use? Thank you

Ok, my computer is making noises. I don't think its a bad thing, considering it does it when my antivirus program finds a worm and deletes it but it's annoying and i just want to turn the sound off because i get a notification anyways. It isn't coming out of the speakers it is coming(I assume) out of a small one on the motherboard. It is just a beeping noise and while i usually don't have much trouble figuring out how to change or fix something with my computer, this one annoying thing is giving me problems. So does anybody know how to turn it off??

how you see a hacker just look at some access screen then just type something and override it . How does he know what language to use ? And why would the access screen let you input ANYTHING other than the password ? Do all protection programs allow a user interface other than the space for entering a password or identity phrase ? Is making a computer that was programmed by someone else do what you want so easy ? Do they use access language or machine language ?

anyways seems to be running slower than my old celron 2.7 bit anoying only got 512 coz the other 512 strip dident work so gots to take it back tomorrow then ill have 1gb memory ( would that make it faster)

I am trying to have it so that this spreadsheet has say, an upper half which is scrollable from rows 1 to 10, while on the same spreadsheet, there is a separate section with its own rows 1 to 10 which are also scrollable...basically how do i mount a spreadsheet onto another so that they're both visible on the same spreadsheet but scrolling through them is independent of each spreadsheet? (if this makes sense...)

I had to replace my compaq tower with an HP tower, but can't get my GeForce Fx5200 video card to even be detected (yeah I know its not a great card, but I'm poor). Do they just not work with HP's? Its an HP Pavilion a1210n tower. Anyone know?

I have a wireless NetGear router that went wrong the other day. Every 2 or 3 seconds, it cuts on, then off then on then off etc... it's like taking out the Internet cable from the router and putting it back in over and over. But the moment I put the Internet cable in the modem, the Internet is on and stays on, but that would mean that I would have to take the long distance phone cable out in place of the Internet cable, so now the long distance phone doesn't work. What is wrong with this router, and how do I fix it?

I have a 20'' TFT which has a maximum
refresh rate of 60Hz.
I'm also using Ubuntu Linux where unfortunately I cannot set the refresh rate under 75Hz..
Is it potentially dangerous to operate my screen in such a refresh rate?
