how can i copy all the programs that i currently have in my hard drive into an external hard drive,no the shortcut;the actually program that i can use it in my external without any problems.

It is not always possible. Many programs write configuration entries to Windows registry during installation, including information on where the program is being installed. If you try to copy the program to an alternative location, it may stop working correctly.

Typically, you can only copy the setup files for the programs, not the actual programs themselves.

This is because the programs write specific information into the operating system when they are installed.

It is possible to setup a portable hard drive with the operating system and programs on it. You'd have to make the hard drive bootable.
