i would loke to know if there are any good free cd,dvd burning roms available for the pc. I have AVS and Sonic but sometimes they get stuck and work like s@##.

Try Nero or Roxio. Lots of them around. They usually come bundled with a CD or DVD drive.

I cant name any off the top of my head, but checkout download.com, there's plenty of free and trial software there.
