How can I connect my video camera to my computer if comp. is missing firewire port.?

is there another way to connect video camera if I dont have firewire? is there like a usb to firewire? or another thing I can use? Thank you

Go to a computer parts store or on-line store and buy a firewire card and have it installed or do it your self. Cost if you do it yourself should be under $50.00.

you would have to either buy a usb to firewire dv cable (expensive) or i recommend buy the firewire PCI card.
