Ok, my computer is making noises. I don't think its a bad thing, considering it does it when my antivirus program finds a worm and deletes it but it's annoying and i just want to turn the sound off because i get a notification anyways. It isn't coming out of the speakers it is coming(I assume) out of a small one on the motherboard. It is just a beeping noise and while i usually don't have much trouble figuring out how to change or fix something with my computer, this one annoying thing is giving me problems. So does anybody know how to turn it off??

Install a temperature monitoring software like Core Temp, Everest, Speedfan, etc. Continuous beeps while PC is running could be an indicator of overheating processor. The temp readings could confirm this. Perhaps your cpu cooler and vents are clogged with dust and lint.

its called a case speaker, and you shouldnt remove it but it is very easy to. it tells you when your computer is doing something or if their is an error it will beep etc. it is a small round object about a centimeter in diameter, it is plugged into the motherboard by a few inch long cord, and is usally freely hanging. just unplug it, and save it, dont throw it out,, and it should no longer beep. but be careful because the plugs that are beside it are you r power button plugs etc...and if you mess with those youll have a hard time fixing em.

must be the motherboard buzzer, haha.

you probably have a small program running on background that it is activating the buzzer and making all kinds of funny noises.

When you get a worm, it goes to your memory. You cannot get rid of it with antivirus. It happened to me. You have to throw away your memory, all of it. Sucks don't it?

well you can turn it off manually, if you tried to find the program and failed...
just follow the two wires that lead to the small speaker inside your system unit(cpu) and un plug it... do this when it is off.... and its better someone with exp... to do it...
