I have a wireless NetGear router that went wrong the other day. Every 2 or 3 seconds, it cuts on, then off then on then off etc... it's like taking out the Internet cable from the router and putting it back in over and over. But the moment I put the Internet cable in the modem, the Internet is on and stays on, but that would mean that I would have to take the long distance phone cable out in place of the Internet cable, so now the long distance phone doesn't work. What is wrong with this router, and how do I fix it?

Yes call your ISP especially if you have unplugged the cords the router will automatically reset and that causes the 2 to be incompatable.. needs to be reset...It has something to do with the order in which you plug and unplug... Good luck

I have a wireless roter also. When I have trouble I call my ISP. They talk me through every step to fix the problem. I even reset it my self. Works everytime. I would suggest that you contact your ISP to help you with this problem.
