I had heard so many negatives about it that when I purchased my computer this summer I made SURE that was NOT was I was getting. I got the Windows XP with the capacity to upgrade when they (if they) got the bugs all worked out. You are not alone in your complaints. Thankfully for me, I heard enough complaints to avoid it!

I don't hate vista, but I won't use it until XP becomes as out of date as windows 98 is now. Vista isn't slow, you just need a powerful computer to run it. and @ Sora, if they put the DirectX aero effects on XP, it would be a resource hog, too. Programmers have already recreated a lot of the Aero effects for XP, but most are OPENGL, so they're much lighter on system requirements

Most of us that read up on Vista know. But, you can buy the new stuff that work with Vista. Eventually they will have something like a SP1 and that will help.
Check your RAM, Vista really needs a minimum of 1 GB and more not hurt.

Well, I hate Vista but I love it's features. I wish microsoft will transfer the aero and flip 3d on Windows XP SP3. Windows XP runs on 128MB or higher but how could Vista pop-up and recommend 1G? Does it use too much features and add-ons and files? Well... for me XP is the best for Microsoft.
