You can find information and screenshots on it at http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/presskits/windowsvista/default.mspx

What experience I have had with it, which is minimal, has been mostly good. I have had some issues with it, but I haven't done enough with it to vote yes or no on it.

I have friends who swing both ways on this issue. Some say XP > Vista others say Vista > XP.... you may just need to experience it for yourself.

Good luck, and I hope this info has helped.

It's pretty and is more compatible with ultra-modern hardware. But it needs a lot of RAM (1.5 GB) and doesn't work with many old programs and peripherals. If you'll have to spend money to get Vista, don't. (If you want to make your pc run better, Vista won't help you. On the contrary, it will slow it down.) If you got Vista free, go ahead and try it. Otherwise, if you really want it, buy a new PC.

i've heard a lot of negative things about it and a few people who have it say they like it. so i'd say about 2 in 10 like it from my casual poll. it's bigger and features a drop back feature that makes it visualy appealing. i'm kinda worried about it cause i am getting a replacement laptop from HP and all i could get was vista. i undertstand there are some compatibility issues with older software etc. the laptop i have is only a year old so hoping to avoid some of that!!

It kinda sucks. Much slower than XP and the so called security is just annoying blocks that keep you from looking under the hood.

it depends on what are you going to do with vista, the complete version needs too perfesional and powerfull PC ,but the HOME version is good.
if your PC has a 2 GB RAM i suggest you to use it.

it's different, and takes a little getting used to.. but I think once everyone is used to it we'll like it.. I haven't seen much about it to make me believe it's better than XP though.. XP was about as close to a perfect OS as you can get.. I've never had any problems with XP..

it's just not good man, its a lot more visual, but i would stick with XP Pro, the worst thing is that is consumes a lot of RAM memory, so even if you got like 2GB, its gonna be kinda slow XD

It has it's pros and cons... just like everything else.
Has a lot of features and special programs... which is good.
Bad... every other day it wants to do upgrades on itself and seems to block so many things.

In my experience, very good.

A lot of bad press going around which I do not believe is needed.
