my computer just crashed(windows Virus) n i want to see if there is ne way i can reboot it. i lost the rebooting cd it brought n i dont have Windows on a cd... and ideas... thank u

Yes. You will need a CD with the FORMAT utility on it.

What would I do? I have reinstalled from the restore cd before, but never lost it.
I have made emergency boot disks and tested them but never needed them.

I would consider--
searching the Microsoft site with another computer for clues;
borrowing and trying someone else's system restore cd, or their emergency boot disks.

Viruses are easy to get rid of.

Actually there is a way to wipe your drive and keep your original copies of windows attached, but this is for professinal use only.

If your really desperate to getting an OS of your choice.
download limewire and search for windows xp pro and when you need to enter the key please use the server key code so that you get direct access to the real updates and not pointless updates that will stress your pc out.

well go to a buddies house and download kill disk burn it to a cd and boot from disk, it will erase all info on HD.

Nope, its either cd ntfs or fat 32 floppy.
