If your getting a lot of pop up's, you probably have adware on your system. Go to http://www.lavasoft.com, and download the ad aware personal adition, it's free. You might also want to see about spyware or viruses as well, as once you get something nasty on your computer, they tend to invite friends :(.

You can get a free anti spyware/virus program here:

http://www.avg.com

First install adaware, if it says your system is clean then you probably don't have a virus, but if you have adware do a spyware and virus scan asap.

Internet Explorer 7 has an automatic pop up blocker built in that blocks 90% of my pop ups, if it's enabled and your still getting tons of pop ups it's almost certainly adware.

Try www.panicware.com. They have a free version, which I've used for several years.
