I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop with Windows Vista. I need to save a school paper on this USB storage device, but I have no idea how. The USB device is a "Cruzer micro 1.0 GB" If someone could give me some basic instructions I would appreciate it.

I have a Word document that I want to use as an Enrollment form. I want the information that you put into the document to be permanent. For example when you type your name or date of birth on the line the text does not move. Do I have to move the entire document into Front Page to get this result?

I have a sony vaio VGN-FS395VP from 2005 and it seems to be locked or something. When i press the on button, it turns on, you can hear it work, but the screen stays black and there is no sound, which is an indication that it is not the screen that is dead, but something else... I would say it is somehow locked. CAN YOU TELL ME HOW DO I UNLOCK IT, OR IF IT IS IN SOME OTHER WAY BROKEN, WHAT DO I DO... THANX

i have purchased the new keyboard, but I am unsure of how to go about removing the old one. Do you go in from the back or is there a way to pop out the keyboard through the top of the laptop?

Everytime I try to run media center and lets say "my music" my pc crashes and reboots. Also it may randomly crash whenever it feels like it. I have been swapping out parts left and right I even put new artic 5 on the cpu. The cpu is a 3.2 ghz p4. It has a really nice heatsinkfan on it, but it runs at about 55 c. Do you think that the pc overheats whenever I try to do something decently large?

Do you need DOS to run Windows 2000/XP? I know there's a command prompt you can use with DOS commands, but does DOS have to be installed in order for Windows 2000/XP to be installed?

This question is for a Software Lab I have to do. I can't seem to find a straight answer for this one though...

I had two generic ink cartridges that didn't work, (kept getting error messages) so I bought and installed two name brand, then the next morning decided to try the generics again, worked that time. I put the tape back on the name brand cartridges and sealed them in the foil bags, will that save them till I need them?

hiya i have installed the packard bell drivers first for the scanner, then got some info to install the mustek drivers which I have done. I downloaded and tried to use Ulead Photo express and import a picture from the scanner but it came up saying could frind twain, check scanner is plugged in etc. Scanner is in and still won't work. Help

My friend thinks its a virus but its been like this for a year and my AVG says i dont have viruses I also use spybot and aol spyware protection... Is it even Possible?? Seems like I always get a virus or trojan that nothing can get rid of. Not Norton's, not Avast....nothing!! And I eventually end up having to wipe my hard drive clean by reloading my OS....I'm getting kinda tired of it. Any knowledgeable computer wizzez out there??

I have lots of music from Napster I own and I'd like to put a "player" into my blog and so I anyone who goes there can hear a number of tunes I choose (or, so I can ;-). I have no idea where to start. Can you please give me step-by-step instructions? I have no idea how to put songs into a file or how to upload them. I have a cd-writer adn a dvd-rom
my cd-writer work fine. It recognized any cd.
the dvd-rom doesnt recognize any dvds. I tried a bolank dvd, adn it dint rrecognize it. whe i go to my computer and double-click on teh dvd drive it ask me to insert a disk,but it is inserted already.
my dvd-rom recognized other music cds. but i want to burn a 2.7 GB image into a dvd. but i cant.

any advice?

I made a video in windows movie maker and I can't figure out what to save it as. When you go to save your project you have to choose a file type and I was wondering which setting I should use. These files don't just say '.avi, .gif,' etc. so it's not very straightforward.
