Get a cheap 40 or 60 GB hard disk off ebay or your local PC store. this should be cheap. Hey, who knows you might find some one to gift it to or you might find use for it yourself.

Yank the hard drive and sell it on e-bay if you dont want to keep it. there may be someone out there willing to pay a few $$$ + shipping just to use it for parts.

If you no longer want to use the laptop, see if your city/county/state has an electronics recycling program. I live in Los Angeles County and they have it.

You're saving the environment too.

Try usedlaptops.com or something similar. These companies take apart your laptop and sell the parts online or use your parts to repair other laptops.

You can replace the drive, but they are expensive. You then need all your original disks to re-load it.
