i have purchased the new keyboard, but I am unsure of how to go about removing the old one. Do you go in from the back or is there a way to pop out the keyboard through the top of the laptop?

I would like to thank all that answered my question. However it was very simple to replace. I had to take 2 screws out of the back for the clips that hold the screen on and then push the screen backwards and until almost flat, pop the clips off and then gently pry that plate or cover off. The keyboard just lifted right out then.
Thanks again
