I have an associates degree in Computer Science. I have gone to monster.com to look for jobs and ever one of them want u to have at least 2 years of experience. Does anybody know what companies have computer science internships so that i can gain experience?

Hi all,
I need to know how to setup a simple network using manual IPs, not Automatic IPs given by my Linksys Wrt45g router setup as "Automatic Configuration DHCP" under Internet Connection type.
My operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit

My ISP is Optimum Online and I believe I have Static IP.
I CAN either use Automatic DHCP or Static IP in my Wireless Router.
In the netwrk setup section, my local ip add is 192.168.1.1 // subnet: 255.255.255.0

This is the tricky part for me,
I enabled DHCP Server
Starting IP Address is "192.168.1.5"
Max numbers of DHCP users is "2" (I want it this way only).
Next Step, I went to my wireless network card and in the TCP/IPv4 Settings, I manually changed my IP to 192.168.1.5 // subnet 255.255.255.0 // def gateway 192.168.1.1 - In my other laptop I did the same exept 192.168.1.6. They're networkly connected but I cant connect to the INTERNET! I did this using the Static IP but no go! It works when IPv4 is set to automatic obtain

why would this key turn off when you turn the computer off? i don't touch this key and every time i start my computer up, it's off. how can i fix this?

I have the three things in the back of the computer for the audio and mic, but i can never find anywhere on my computer where it says sound card.. I see this though ( SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC
Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device)
Is this the same as a soundcard?

i know a flash banner is created with Flash, but isn't that animated I'm not so sure between the differences in the two. Would the animated banner be just picture after picture? When i go to "tools" there is no "folder options" anymore! The only options i get in "tools" are : 1. Map network drive 2. Disconnect network drive 3. synchoronize... Where did the folder options go?? how can i fix this problem?

okay.. i was bored and was playing pool on my computer... using vista btw. and suddenly the screen went black and it said my display driver crashed but it has recovered. This has happened twice. It coincidentally hapepened when i started up the program and when i exited the program. Does this have soemthing to do with the game of pool or is it something a little more serious?

I have DSL. I am going to get a wireless router. I have a laptop. I was told that I have to have a computer connected to the wireless router at all times in order to get internet wirelessly to other computers. Is this true? I thought that once you were done setting up the wireless router with your modem that you didn't need to always have a computer pluged in to the router. My friend has cable internet and he doesn't have to have a computer connected at all times. What's the deal? Please help.

Currently I have a Dell Dimension 3100. It has a Pentium 4 3.2ghz CPU with HT technology. According to specs, the motherboard is a "Intel 915GV chipset". It has no AGP or PCIe slot. Had 512MB DDR2 PC-4200 Ram to start, I upgraded with a 1gig stick currently 1.2g now.
I was lookin into some Core 2 Duo chips for gaming and video conversion, will any fit on this motherboard?

Anyone have a site with a list?

Office came installed on my comp when i got it a couple years ago, just the trial version. i never converted it and never used it. looking to free up some space on my hd, i uninstalled it, but even though it should have freed up around 4 GB, it didnt. My question is to get that 4 GB back from office, do i have to manually delete the files or will there always be an office ghost lounging around on my HD? or do i have to reboot to see the free space?
