Hi there, I am having trouble connecting our laptops to our wireless router. The laptops pickup that there is a signal there, but I keep getting the message, "unable to connect". It was originally set with WEP security, but now I have managed to go in and disable that, so it appears to be a totally open network. Both laptops do the same thing, thats why I am sure it is a problem with the router and not the wireless cards in the laptops. Any thoughts?

i just got my printer to print some pages. I realized there are two cartilege boxes. One for colors, and one for black i guess. When i bought it, it only came with the color ones. Anyhow...

if i keep printing out regular black font notes for school using the color ink. Does it drain faster compare to just using the black one? It seems like my ink lvl is going down a lot it lost 25% printing myabve 30 pages of notes. what do youthink

Once I've got my super-dooper high speed connection, do routers have a "speed" factor that could ultimately hinder my vonage phone and internet performance? I only intend to use wired connections, so range/coverage isn't an issue. I don't want to waste my money on a fast connection just to end up with a sub-standard router that slows me down and causes choppy phone calls just b/c I happen to be surfing while I'm talking. So..do routers have a speed or other component that effect performance in a wired network?

I have a Toshiba Satellite and I have recently been taking it to school in a laptop backpack.It has a sleeve in it behind where I put my books.It has very good padding supporting the bottom and pretty good pagging on the sides of the laptop sleeve.How much weight will a laptop take on top of it.

well i have a mac, and i do all my hw on it, and i save my stuff on my pendrive and i can't print it out at school b/c in all our 3 computer labs there is not a single apple computer! long story short, can someone please tell me how to save something as a rtf? rich text format? i think it is. and i need instructions for a mac, not windows.

They are both socket 478 Pentium 4. The reason I'm asking is because last time i tried to upgrade a PC i wanted to go from 700MHz to 1.2 or 1.4GHz and it didn't work (guessing my motherboard didnt support that speed.

The computer is a HP Pavilion 9720. The motherboard is the stock one.

My mom replaced her hard drive, I updated her windows to windows xp service pack 2, it said to restart so I did, when I restarted everything on her desktop was very big and fuzzy, I got a pop up box that said do you want to automatic fix, I clicked yes, nothing happened, so I tried to fix my self in the control panel, display, I'm not sure what I did but now its just black, no pictures, no icons, nothing, I cant go in the system restore (F10) I can go to setup (F1). Okay here is the situation. I have a .exe file I copied to a CD-R disk, and I want to transfer that file to my secondary computer. I copied to file to a CD-R disk on my main computer and it says the file is on the CD-R disk and everything looks fine, but when I insert it into my second computer it doesn't do anything, NOT EVEN READ THE DISK, and I know for a fact the disk drive works because I tested it with other disks including CD-R's.....do you know a way I can fix this or why this may be happening. First one to help me with my problem gets 10 points ! Thanks in advance.
