It's a possibility! What wireless freedom means is that wherever a wi-fi signal is detected by your laptop, you can use the internet without the hassles of having to wire it up, providing you have the password in most cases. I'm sure there are some places where you could use your laptop from your car. Wi-fi hotspots are popping up everywhere and eventually you could access the internet anywhere a wi-fi spot is available. I have used my laptop from my car while waiting on a friend of mine to handle some business downtown where I live while using a wi-fi hotspot from a local coffee shop. I don't imagine it will be long before internet access becomes a standard feature in most new cars. Take care and enjoy your freedom!! :-)

Only if your car is parked within range of a wireless access point. Or I suppose you could just keep driving around the block at the nearest Starbuck's.

If that model had a PC Card or PCMCIA, you could get a wireless broadband card that would give you broadband speed most places in the country. It's expensive, though - $79/mo. most places.

Only if you are near a hotspot. Which means you are within range of somewhere that allows wireless to connect to their internet connection.

if you are near a hotspot or other wireless network yes

or buy the pretty piece of equipment and service to get wireless anywhere there is phone service...though this is expensive, and will not go in your computer, its external. and must be paid for through other companies.
