Office came installed on my comp when i got it a couple years ago, just the trial version. i never converted it and never used it. looking to free up some space on my hd, i uninstalled it, but even though it should have freed up around 4 GB, it didnt. My question is to get that 4 GB back from office, do i have to manually delete the files or will there always be an office ghost lounging around on my HD? or do i have to reboot to see the free space? Im running XP home fyi

You may have to reboot, even though it doesn't prompt you to. There may also be backup installation files, try doing a Disk Cleanup.
