Videodownloader has not worked since June 2007. I used it for years before it stopped working. I have given up waiting for a fix. Worse yet the maker of the extension (javimoya.com) does not mention that it no longer works!!

Three methods to download YouTube videos
I tested each September 12, 2007
1) Download YouTube videos using this instructions on this web page

Go to this page

and paste URL of youtube page into "Video URL" box. Find and click on "Get Download URL" and wait, a download url appears. Click on it and save rename it from "get_video" to "get_video.flv" or "my_description.flv"
2) Firefox: Video Download

Right click on unused are of you tube page click on
"Download Video" then after video downloads rename it from "get_video" to "get_video.flv" or "my_description.flv"

Can't be down without 3rd party software. Otherwise think of it this way, if youtube wanted you to download them, the option would already be there.
Just save to your fav's, that's what I do.

if you have firefox theirs lots of addons that can but the best one is fast video downloader. But they save as .flv so you have to search Any Video Recorder and get that. But if you don't have firefox you can go to kissyoutube.com
