Imagine the internet as this big space, download would be taking things from that "space" and uploading would be giving things to that "space"
the "space" being a huge network of computers.

Uploading is when you are sending a file or document over the Internet. Downloading is receiving a file for document. When you visit a website, you are downloading files to view the web page. When you buy something on iTunes, the file is download to your.
When you have photos to share online, you upload them to a site like Flickr or Photobucket.

whoa! OK download is taking it from a server which is a computer somewhere else and up loading is giving a file like if u have a music my space and upload a song Ur putting that song on a computer somewhere else
