Imagine the internet as this big space, download would be taking things from that "space" and uploading would be giving things to that "space"

whoa! OK download is taking it from a server which is a computer somewhere else and up loading is giving a file like if u have a music my space and upload a song Ur putting that song on a computer somewhere else
