I have two related questions:

WMP11 wants to assign an album to every song in my library. But sometimes, the artist did not issue the song on an album, it was only a single. WMP imports library info from the compilation CD from which I ripped the song, but I don't want it that way, I want it tied to the artist. Is there any way to force WMP not to tie a song to an album?

I have a similar problem with a free, download-only song ("You're Pitiful" by Weird Al), that never appeared on any album. WMP finds no information on this song whatsoever, so it's assigned to "Unknown Album" and most of the tag info is blank. Is there any way to fix this other than manually?

I logged onto my computer this evening as I knew a friend was sending me an email but it didn't arrive. I have sent myself emails just to see if it is working and on average they are taking up to two hours to arrive if at all. Yahoo Answers to a question I sent in are also arriving very slowly even though when I go onto the Yahoo Answers site they are all there. My computer is not very old and I have not downloaded anything of any size. I have checked the memory and that has loads of space on it. Does anyone know what is happening, it will probably take me until tomorrow night to get any answers!!!!

my computer crashed a couple years ago and it just hasnt been the same, i have spybot search & destroy, ad-aware, Avast Anit-virus, & CCleaner installed which i run frequently. I have supposebly "erased" everything off the hard drive using some cd and reinstalling windows but it still runs slow and freezes alot...any advise? whats the best and cheapest thing i can do to get it running normal.
ps...computer is about 5 years old...and i'm running XP

I like to clear out any virus or spyware that I may have from my computer. If I disable system restore, would I lose my system restore points? In other words would I be able to restore my system to say January of 2007.

I have bough a Mac with OS X on it not sure what version form e-bay .. .when i got it the guy's screen name is still in there and i dont know his password so i called him and i tried the password that he tolled me but its not working ... so i bough the Mac OS X Tiger and i can install it at all.. i did the hole bid of put the OS DVD in and press and hold "C" but nothing came up ... the retailer for the program tolled me i would be able to see a menu... but nothing ... and i have tried it more then ones... is the a way to get rid of all the i dont even know the administrest pssrd... so please ... tell me how can i install MaC OS X Tiger on a lock Mac.

i have recently bought a computer which has a DVI port, but my monitor which i have bought has only got a VGA cable end.
i know i am surpose to look for a VGA to DVI converter, but i on my computer it has somethin like the picture on the link:

on the DVI end, it has a cross and four dots around it.
i have looked online, and all of them i have seen does not have a cross and four dots, but only have a strike line going across, like this:

i was wondering, would they work for my computer, and if it doesnt please can you tell me what i actually need.

My son can no longer connect to the internet. We have dial up (very small town in TX - nothing is availabel where we live) and we use MSN.

Normally when he puts in his password a message comes up that says "Dialing" and then Changes to "Sign In Attempt 1". It always connects on the first attempt.

The last few days it never tries to dial, just goes directly to "sign in attempt 1" and then attempts 2. Then it says it cannot connect.

It does not seem to be even trying to dial. Tested the modem it's good, tested the phone cord - it's good, tested the jack - it's good. Anybody had this problem? What can we do to fix it?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I have WINTV and I'm using it to transfer analogue camcorder footage to my hard drive but whenever I use it after 45 minutes of recording it freezes and then when I stop it the whole file has gone and I've wasted 45 minutes. I am having to record in 30 minute sections. Is there an easier way??

I am looking for a web service that will allow me to add a "Prayer List" book to my site. It is the same idea as a Guest book that you see on line. I want to let users submit a prayer request to the site and it will automatically be posted to the website so others across the web can read it and pray for others.I think all I would need is a textbox for users to enter their name and a multi-line text box to enter a prayer request. I want to be able to have a Banner of "Prayer Book at the top instead of the "guest book" you see everywhere. Does anyone know of a free site that I can modify the guest book to read Prayer Book or Prayer List or be able to put my own banner on top.

Ok, I have a master grocery list. It has everything I ever buy on it, and I print it out and put a check mark next to the things I need. Here's my question: is there any way that I can set this up on the computer so that it only prints out a list of the things I need? For instance, if I just need milk, lunch meat, eggs, and bread, is there a program I can use where I can select those on the computer and just print that list out without deleting all the other items? Buddy of mine conserned about AOL convo. can n e one give him some info to help him know wat canor cant happen?
someone IMed my buddy and said they were gonna give his IP adress to the police to get him in trouble over a convo. wat i dont get is A. how did they get IP address and B. wat could they do to him (just in general answer i dont wanna get into specifics about the convo and i dont even know wat it was about n e way). he has good protection on his fire wall and virus. this person said the police were on their way a few days ago, this person said they were doin paper work (he doesnt know wat on) and that it was this person's job to get people like him in trouble online. sound really wierd to me. ithink this person was eiither just pullin a mean joke or couldnt get him in trouble and nothin will happen. thanks for the answers.
