Don't do it! They are trying to panic you into downloading their software, which will infest your computer.

What you are seeing is usually called a "rogue" spyware program. It is a program designed to sent you frightening messages to scare you into buying their software. If you download their trail or free version, it will usually report "hundreds" of viruses and spyware (all fake) and then want big bucks to clean them. It is a scam. Do NOT download their software. Do NOT give them any money.

If you are considered about spyware, go to http://download.com and get the free program Spybot Seek&Destroy. If you have any spyware on your computer, it will find and clean it for free - including the "rogue" spyware giving you all those messages.

These programs usually install themselves onto your PC without your permission.
They will show fake system alerts or fake security alerts to trick user to buy the Paid Version.
AdAware, Spybot and SuperAntiSpyware are the programs I currently use to eliminate popups, spyware, and adware from my computer. They are well-written, and do not add popups or ads themselves.

Check for updates before booting in safe mode and performing a scan, in case a newer version exists.
SuperAntiSpyware (free)

Spybot S&D (free)

Ad-aware SE Personal (free)

Spyware.

AntiVermins, VirusBurst, Pest Capture, SpyDawn, SpyCrush, DriveCleaner.

That's justa few of the names that the scumware goes by.

Download a good Spyware dectector, Adaware is one, Spybot is another, and there are others. Run it and get rid of the infection.

These are scams. Yes they will scan your sys. and create paranoia in order to link you to some BS app you have to buy to repair these problems. Most of these scans are even bogus. They even show broken links and other minor problems to be EMERGENCIES to try and scare you. You should get a pop-up blocker to block most of this trash. protonic.com is a great free tech site that has many great free, and tested apps for you. Check the discussions and forums area for a lot of info about problems and solutions to most of your needs!!!
