Is there a program where if I enter in the letters it'll come up with a word?

If you are trying to take a string of letters and see what all words can be made from them, you are looking for an "anagram" program. Do a search on "anagram programs" and you will find several good ones (and web sites) that will make words for you.
Also try the "crossword" puzzle sites.

interesting concept - have never heard of one
you might want to write a program and market it...i know it would definently be a hit with people attending school.
