Is it possible to go to Windows & download the service pack 2 for XP onto a cd to use for a sperate computers missing drivers. What about XP Pro itself?

i have a slow connection and i cant wait to download a big thing as it takes a lot of time with a slow connection. i want such a software which can help me pause the download and again resume it later at any time i want just like when downloading from google pack.

Im trying to download office 2003 ---------------> i click on the autorun icon so that it starts ----------------> it says insufficient memory when i have 120 GB's left

I have tried everything I know. Not even I8kfanGUI program will work. Since my fan stopped working I have experienced up to twelve second lags on Videos and games (Mainly Runescape). This has been going on for a year now and i am fed up. Occasionally and i mean on an extremely rare occasion the lag will stop, so long as I do not close my laptop or turn it off. But most of the time the lag stays. Even as I am writing this the text is appearing about 5 seconds later than I type it. I do not know what to do. Someone please help me. Before I had IE 7, Sometimes my laptop would overheat and shut off. If i put a fan under it the second after this happened and turned it on then the lag was gone and I could play my videos and games with no lag. But recently that hasn't happened. Could someone PLEASE help me.

i have a compaq presario f579wm, and i want to get more ram for it. the problem is i can't find the specs to tell me what type of ram it uses...i don't know the pin number or really anything else. if anyone can find a way to let me know the specs of my laptop, than i would be most thankful.

My hard drive died recently, I bought a new one, but the only copy of windows I have is the system recovery cd that came with the computer (a compaq)- and it's full of other programs i don't nees or want. Is there any way to get another copy of just the os without all the crap, and without buying a new copy?

My cousin became interested in laptop, wants to learn how to type, and also wants to watch some educational CDs on a laptop.

As long as it has a CD-R drive and works fine, It's fine. It doesn't have to have an Operating System because I have the one for him, but if it has, It's good too.

It doesn't have to have an ethernet port for Internet also.

My cousin is about 6 years old, living in Tokyo for his parents' business reason, and will be living there for couple of years according to his parents.

He is American, but gradually learning Japanese also.

If you have the one, know anyone who has the one, or know any place where he can get a free laptop in Tokyo, Please let me know.

I am living in the U.S., never visited Tokyo before, and don't know any place where he can get a free laptop in Tokyo, so I am asking your help.

I have a landline and I used to have unlimited dialup connection. Last year, I had that removed due to financial reasons. But to my amazement my phone company failed to update their records and i still have an unlimited dialup connection.

My question is: If i buy a DSL modem, will I be able to surf the net using a DSL connection?

or does the company have to approve me at their end first? (note i have a free dialup now)

What is the best DSL modem brand to buy?

On Myspace after applying different layouts, some layouts are designed so that even if you type exactly (for e.g.) "i like football", it will be displayed as "I Like Football" (automatically capitalising all first letters), or even some layouts show the text in entire capitals "I LIKE FOOTBALL".

Does anyone know what code it is that does this? And how to remove it/add it? Thanks.

I just printed out some medical info from the Internet. And when I print things out, this time and several times before, the right hand margin is always cut off. How can I make it print out the whole thing? Its a pain to have to write all the missing info on every line. Thank you.

I have sbc/at&t with the 2wire tower and we run the filters that connect to the phone around the house. whenever i use one of my phones the light on the tower blinks in orange but when i use another house phone it works fine. what do i do to make all the phones work with the internet? i already tried removing all the filters for 10 minutes and then put them back in again. so what do i do??? thanks
