I used to change mine all the time, too. I've stuck with one for the past few years because I just got sick of having to remind everyone that I've switched (and there are *still* people who insist on trying to e-mail me at an address I haven't used in five years, then wonder why I never get their messages), but I really don't like the one I have now. I'm sticking with it just to avoid the hassel.

Why are you accepting email addresses that you don't like in the first place? Can you not check the availability before you accept it.
It never hurts to have more than one. I have 5 myself but mainly use only one. I use Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc...for sign ups that I think will result in junk mail. As far as the main address; try to come up with something that is representative of your name in a various form like "firstname & bday".
What happens if and when you start looking for a job and you miss an opportunity because you don't have that email address anymore. Think of it in the same way as changing your phone number that many times.

I would say stick with the ones you have, if the only reason you want to change is you don't "like" them. If you must create a new address, do something that you'll be able to live with for a long time. I have a few different e-mail addresses and I use them all for different things.

I had a girl that used a new screenname every night. My friends found her to be severely nutzo. I might suggest avoiding the temptation unless you are getting a ton of spam. Maybe just give them an email address and have it forward to whatever email address you want to use.
But yes asking everybody to update your address card too often and they will just delete it.

I have one personal email address I've kept for about 7 yrs now, i use this one for friends and family, etc. I have 2 other accounts i use for general,1 for like when i join new sites or forums, etc... and the other is a junk mail one... ya know.. when you sign up for sites thats your unsure about (spam). But yea, i find it irritating when people change thier email, i've lost contact with alot of friends because they keep changing it, You basically only need 2, one for keeps, and one for junk.

*snort* change 'em whenever you want. Sometimes a different email address is like a little bit of change in your life, that's weirdly fun to do and is never a bad thing. I've got three at the moment, and that's pretty low for me. They're all useful and unless I start juggling a lot of them, there's no problem.

Nah, its fine, I like changing mine too. Chose something you wont get sick of quickly. Or, forward an email to all your friends telling them all your emails, so they can contact you.

Its probably really annoying for all your friends. Just pick one good email and always use it.
