c vaio will be d best machine catering to you needs....
fulfillin all ur rquirements for multimedia, gamin n long battery life...
but if u come 1 step down, u can go 4 hp/ compaq.....
1st select d config which will suit u best, make up ur mind n then go 4 it....
i'll suggest u d folowing config which i got 4 myself....
1 gb ram, 160 gb hdd, intel dual core processor 1.73 ghz, itz compaq v3000 series, it wld cost u sumthn b/w 40 to 42....
is d best in d range servin al ur needs.
advantage : comapq is a product of hp....

try hp pavilion dv 2000 series - its 1.7 due core, widescreen, 100 Gb harddisk, 1 gb ram, dvd writer and appx. 1.45 hrs battery backup, i think its enough n the most important thing is warrenty - hp gives very fast replace/repair
n if u wana more battery backup then go for small screen sizes
