Should be able to do so no problems. If you DO have a problem, all you need to is open it in 2007, and use SAVE AS and save as a Word XP or Word 2000 file, it's ONLY if you use some of the very latest features you could have problems

Generally speaking, no, but there may be fonts and other relatively minor details that you used on the original computer that aren't installed on the new one.
If it's only a few words that are affected, then you should be able to manually edit the altered words to something comparable on the new machine (i.e., there are a lot of fonts that are similar and will probably suffice).
If it involves a LOT of words, then no converter will help. It *might* be best to change the entire document to plain-text, and then re-format it from scratch (not the most fun thing to do though!).
MicroSquish just loves messing with people's heads, and fonts, and other stuff! ;)

As the others have said, you can save the file in a pre-2007 format, or you can handle this at the receiving end by downloading and installing Microsoft's free Compatibility pack on the earlier version of Word.
It's your call as to which is more effective and efficient.
Hope that helps.

Yes you can. The file should have saved with a .DOC extension, which you would be able to open and print in a variety of applications. Microsoft also bundles Wordpad into XP and 2000 pro, so you should also be able to open and print from that application as well if the version of Word you have gives you any trouble.

you should have no problem, as long as the ms office 07 file can be opened with ms office 06 and past editions.
Microsoft has a link on their site for the compatibility issue that arose for me when i found out that my Office 07 wouldnt open with mey office 03.
here is the link for the patch from microsofts site for the compatibility issue
