Now, I had this done on one of my vehicles and it cost me about 700 bucks. I really can't believe that everyone driving around changes their timing belts at 60k. Of course, I realize that if it breaks, trouble will follow. Still, it seems to me that this recommendation is playing on people's fears.

I refilled the fluid and a week later it seems to have disappeared -- so, something is leaking. I think the worst news would be if it's the compresser. What are the other possibilities of where it's leaking fluid? How much is this likely to cost to repair? I live in the Atlanta area.

I purchased a 1991 Civic that needs both rear power window motors replaced. I found the same car at a salvage yard and tried to pull the motors but cannot figure it out. I removed all of the screws holding the motor to the door but there is one more bolt connecting the motor to the window. The problem is I cannot reach it because the window in in the "closed" position. How can I lower the window so that I can access the bolt? OR, how do I remove the bolt with the window closed?

I have 198* jeep cj7 with a 258 inline 6 and i'm trying to figure out what year it is. I'm rebuilding the engine and the casting number is giving me either 79' 80' or an 81'. the jeep has a SR-4 4spd transmission and a Dana 300 transfer case but it has no vin # complements to a YJ body conversion. So what i'm asking here is what are the differences in the engines of those years and/ or would it make any differences in the kits? Also any extra informations and informative websites would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced

My boyfriend has a Ford Aerostar and when he hits the brakes the tail lights come on but not when he turns them on to drive at nighttime. He bought the bulbs for it and replaced them but its still not working. Perhaps its not the bulb? Maybe a fuse? Someone help me!

I took my car to a shop that I've had oil changes & also prior inspection. My car is used but excellent condition; purchased 2 yrs ago, new brakes & more. Owner of shop told me how impressed he is w/condition of car. I drive it short distances only; my office is 5 miles from home so have little mileage since purchase. Owner was out for this 2nd year inspection last week so his son worked on my car. After a short time he showed me the brake pads were worn but that all else was in good condition. I told him to replace the pads. Over an hour later I went to pay the bill & it was nearly $400.00. I found he not only replaced the pads but rotors as well. I told him I had not authorized him to do anything but replace the pads. He said that even though they were in good condition they were a little worn on one side & that they do not like to turn the rotors as "they use to do in the old days" so they replace the rotors too & that I should I should know this. I had to pay or not get my car back

the wheels are all locked tight it seems to be something with the steering is it possible? its mainly after 60 or after hitting a bump on the road, what could it be it shakes really really hard i have to move the wheel from side to side so itll drive ok again but its starting to be more common what could it be? i know for sure its not a bump on the wheel because it only happens sometimes, and its not due to the wheels being loose ive checked and rechecked but thats like the best way to describe it my friend said something about the steering being bad what could it be exactly?

Engine is a 1970 460 Ford Big Block. I noticed that all of a sudden I have a very noisy rocker arm assembly on the left bank (drivers side). So I pulled the valve cover to have a look, and sure enough, one rocker arm was no longer seated on its push rod. As soon as I touched the push rod, it slipped out of its seat and fell into the block. Can't even begin to see it. Any motor heads have any suggestions?

Almost everytime it rains or the roads are wet, my Sedona makes a schreeching sound for about 1-4 seconds, usually when I am slowing down, but not necessarily with my foot on the brake - sometimes it happens when I've taken my foot off the accelerator, but not touched the brakes yet. Only happens every once in a while. Had the brakes done about 5 months ago - new brakes - any suggestions on what this noise might be?
