Almost everytime it rains or the roads are wet, my Sedona makes a schreeching sound for about 1-4 seconds, usually when I am slowing down, but not necessarily with my foot on the brake - sometimes it happens when I've taken my foot off the accelerator, but not touched the brakes yet. Only happens every once in a while. Had the brakes done about 5 months ago - new brakes - any suggestions on what this noise might be?

Could be a glazing on your serpetine belt. Check it to see if it is worn and cracked then replace it. if it continues then you may have a worn bearing in one of the pully's. I do not think it is in your brakes because you said it happens before you put your foot on the brakes.

Water gets on your engine, including all the belts in there.
When you slow down, you stress the belts.
The wet-stressed belts slip, causing the screeching.

The friction heat from the slipping belts dries them, and the car no longer screeches.
