The wiggle can be felt at low speeds, about 40 to 50 kph. The car's a Honda Ascot 1989 model, and it drives perfectly straight ( which as I understand it means there's no alignment problem). Could the wiggle be eliminated by having the 2 rear tires balanced as well? Or would it mean a bigger problem in the suspension or steering system?

My partner has just replaced the radiator in my Peugeot 106, 1.5 Diesel (1998). He has gone out and told me that I have to now put the anti freeze in it. I have no idea how much to put in (apparently is a mix with water....) and I cant find the details in the handbook (the handbook I have isnt specifically for the 106).

Also (this is silly) I presume I pour in the anti freeze and then top up with water.....

I have no idea!
Help!!!!!!

Rubbing Compound vs. Clay Bar vs. Turtle Wax ICE Liquid Clay Bar. I heard WD-40 will take off the clearcoat, and using acetone might mess up the original paint as well. I really don't wanna screw this up. I'm helping out this girl that I kind of like.

I have a 1999 dodge intrepid. Awile ago, the heat and AC stopped working. Well not really stop but the air doesn't come out to the vents very strongly. When ever I change the setting on the knob, it wont increase. Right before this started happening, there was a smell of burning rubber coming through the vents. I'm not sure if this was the fan burning out. The faster I go, the more air comes out the vent. The AC is still cold and the heat is hot but I can barely feel it. I live in Michigan, and I want to figure this out before it gets cold. COuld you help me find out what is causing this and how much it will cost to fix it.

Thanks

First, thanks to all who reply, and have replied. It really is helpful.. But to add some more info to my earlier question. My 99 Caravan does actually overheat when I exit the freeway. the res bubbles up, the gauge goes quickly to redline (Then sometimes drops as quickly to midpoint) and teh buzzers and bells start chirping...I have suggested to the mechs to check the sensors, thinking that the read to the dual fans is screwy (Technical term, excuse me) I've checked the fans, and they both do work, again I don't know if they stop working on the hwy, and the car is being air-cooled, and then the read is all fouled. I don't know. But I do know that wherever I go, I never tell the guys to try to save me $. I just ask for the prob to fixed, Is that unreasonable?..I guess my next stop should be to Dodge. Thanks All.

I am going to be replacing the radiator in my 94 toyo pickup.

2 questions:

1.) I want to replace my radiator with a physically bigger 3-row radiator. Is this okay? Should I go with stock size three row, or a stock (oem) 2-row unit?

2.) should I go with a plastic tank /aluminum core(I my opinion plastic radiator= problems), or a metal tank with a copper core?Which would give me the best cooling, but still let the engine get up to operating temp?

The charging system had been failing for a while, but since I never drove far, it kept the battery mostly charged.
I recently took a longer trip, and my car died twice at traffic lights due to no power. The battery was completely dead. The charging light comes on after 5 minutes or so of driving, and rarely does it go off. Is this just a failing alternator, or could it be something else?

I have had trouble putting it into reverse a bit, not really bad, but it makes a grinding sound.

I was told by the Toyota dealer that it would be best to find a used transmission for my 93 Toyota T100 4x4 truck than to have them repair the bearing. (As he told me this would be like 15 hours labor)

Is he correct?

How long do you think I could drive it like it is now?

an inlaw needed to jump the battery on his car and we hooked cables to my battery and then he was hooking them to his vehicle. When he clamped the ground I did not notice any idle change in my engine so I questioned whether he had made a good ground connection and before I knew it or could say anything he was arcing the two ends of the cables that were connected to my battery and I told him I sure hope you did not fry my diodes in my altenator and he just kind of laughed.

the car can be drive for a fair distance and all the sudden it will die, it will start back up after a while and do the same thing, you cant hit the gas when it starts to die and save it, so is the fuel ump going out or is there something in the tank that is plunging the line and then backing off?????

I am getting ready to replace head gaskets on an 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue with a 3.8L. I am wondering if you have to pull the engine to do this job. Also if anything special is reccomended like tools or the process of replacing them. Also how much should it cost for the labor.

Asked something similar a few minutes ago, but I wanted to refine it. I need to have the O2 sensor at bank #1, sensor #1 replaced (the mechanic referred to this as "bank #1, side #1", but I think he meant sensor #1). I just need to know which one it is so I can buy the correct part. What is the location (side of car and before/after catalyst)? Thanks in advance for the info!
